Generally I am not a fan of a hotel that has a grandiose name, but is not grandiose, but with the Blue Lagoon Inn and Suites in Puerto Princessa I will give them a pass. This hotel is located really close to PP airport, the best restaurants in the capital and is a great deal.
What the Puerto Princessa?
Puerto Princesas or PP is the capital city of the best island in the world, as voted by “people”. And while most options are subjective I do at least agree with this one and in fact nearly purchased an island here.
PP itself does not offer much bar the Underground River and Tamilok, but is a great place to start your island hopping adventures in Coron, or El Nido.
And it is where the cheapest flights go, hence why you want a cheap hotel near the airport in Puerto Princessa – I present Blue Lagoon Inn.
Rooms and prices at Blue Lagoon Inn and Suites
They have villas by the pool and ones not by the pool, as well as standard rooms. On a good day villa can be as little as $30 and normal rooms much less. Rooms are great for the price, with the location being a super bonus.
They can also arrange airport pickup and overall the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Facilities at the Blue Lagoon Inn and Suite
They basically include the central impetus of the place, the swimming pool of which the villas straddle, as well as the bar/restaurant.
The air and restaurant are simple, but very much do a job. The menu for breakfast has American, as well as Filipino, with the pancakes going down a treat with out guests at least.
A nice easy place to while away some time as you prepare to explore Palawan.
