The top 25 tourist attractions in Asia have been announced by TripAdvisor as part of their travelers choice awards and well, there are a few controversial ones in there.,
The travelers choice awards are presented annually by the leading travel review site TripAvisor. They cover a whole heap of regions and categories and are considered somewhat prestigious..
Be award though writing negative review on here can actually get you jail time in Thailand.

Best Tourist Attractions in Asia, who what?
What really shocked me was that this list was headed by the “By The Bay” in Singapore. I’m sorry but this is something that really is not that impressive. Second and third spot were Angkor Wat and the Great Wall, which I will happily give kudos too.
And while not wanting to sound like an ass hat I really can’t believe that Singapore won with 6 of the top 25, while Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam each had a very deserving 4 each.

Best tourist attractions in Asia? Where have I been?
I have been to about 11 of the 25, which might seem like not a lot, particularly as I have been to each country, but I have a really good reason. The other half of this lust are for the most part crap.
I mean who the heck pts a bloody botanical garden on a list like this. For me 2-3-10-14-19-20-22 all get my respect but little else.
It was though at least nice to see some Dark Tourism entries such as S-21 the former prison of the Khmer Rouge, although the lack of Anlong Veng equally drew my ire.
Perhaps it is now time for a Street Food Guy best tourist attractions in Asia list! Maybe one day.
