Being the capita; of Jordan there are a few good hotel options, but if you are looking for budget Amman then you really cannot go wring with Larsa Hotel.
And this is for many reasons, but chief among them is that with Amman being such a huge city location here is really important. The Larsa Hotel has a great location.
What the Larsa Hotel
Overall you would describe this hotel as a solid three star that is located in the Al Jandaweel area. One assumes that this was build and saw its heyday when things were gangbusters in the Kingdom, rather than as they are now, with Petra being empty.
According to the hotel they were at about 10 percent occupancy, but this did not affect the service, which was frankly amazing.
Rooms and facilities at Larsa Hotel
Rooms here are that of a standard 3 start hotel, while the hotel itself is done as an Arab style courtyard. Through this there is a basement restaurant where breakfast is served. Again this is very Jordanian, with said breakfast buffet being more than enough to get you through without being earth shattering. They do though have an omelette station, which is what I lived on.
Said restaurant also offers great deal meals in the evening, although beers cost $10 a pop, although this is more an Amman rather than Larsa Hotel thing.

In real terms this means that it is just 15 minutes by Uber from Rainbow Street, as well as the Royal Automobile Museum. Getting too the airport away from rush hour will also just set you back about 30 minutes, although if you go at rush hour this might go nearer to an hour.
So, while the Larsa Hotel will probably not win any awards just yet, it is probably one of the better value hotels for Amman, particularly if you are heading out further to the Dead Sea, Wadi Rum, Petra, or Aqaba and everyone’s favorite SOFEX.
